The role as a technician in a Jaguar retailer has changed considerably in the last few years. With cars that use some of the most advanced technology in the world, the ability to service and maintain high performance vehicles has required a new breed of technician. Working in a team, the ability to carefully manage customer expectations through service and repair works is as important as repairing vehicles right first time.

The Apprentice Programme prepares technicians for the future with underpinning traditional values and skills, whilst ensuring industry leading standards are achieved. Technicians will enjoy working on award winning cars and will receive Academy training as well as coaching and mentoring in the workplace.

Qualifications achieved Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Location Jaguar Retailers throughout United Kingdom
  • In the workplace, through local mentoring and regular coaching visits by one of Jaguar’s Academy representatives
  • In one of Jaguar’s Academies (Leamington, Liverpool or Glasgow) undertaking block release hands-on training with other Service Technicians
  • Virtual classroom sessions and E-learning through Jaguar’s Learning Management system
  • Teambuilding and Communication modules including extra curricula visits to industry suppliers
Post Apprenticeship The Apprenticeship is merely the start of hopefully a long term relationship with Jaguar. Through Academy programmes, individuals will have the opportunity to learn further skills leading to exciting career prospects.
Age range 16-plus
Entry requirements Expected minimum requirement of 5 GCSE at A-C preferably including English and Maths.

To be part of an exciting team, you will be expected to have a passion for cars, good problem solving and practical skills. Once on-board, you will be expected to be an integral part of a workshop team in helping to achieve tight deadlines through thriving on using IT and practical skills.
